APRIL Newsletter
Our monthly meeting was held Sunday, April 13, 2008 . If you did not make this meeting we missed you! We hope to see you at our next meeting May 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. - Ag Center in Tennille , Georgia . We had a small crowd of only 23 members for this meeting.
The meeting was called to order by Ken who opened the meeting with prayer. The minutes were read and approved. We did not have a treasurer’s report due to circumstances beyond Connie’s control. Ken covered the Relay-for-Life amounts collected at the March 22nd show.
Old Business
Ken wants everyone to plan to attend the April 26th show he has scheduled the check presentation to Relay-for-Life in the amount of $7,000 between 1 and 2. Ken would like as many members as possible to be there to present the check and make a picture for the paper. This was our best Relay-for-Life show ever and it was due to all the hard work of the members present at this show.
New Business
Jeanie Curphey presented information about a program for some of our youth to participation in if interested it is the Extreme Mustang Yearling Makeover. She is willing to transport the horses from Texas to her farm for ORHA. If any youth would be interested in participating with these Mustang Yearlings you will need to be at the next meeting. For more information on this you can go to website of Extreme Mustang Makeover.com. and click on Mission 007.
FIRST SHOW of the year will be April 26th – New Versatility classes start…We look forward to seeing all of you there.
Our annual insurance policy is due for another year; we will continue our coverage with LCI Livestock insurance at $500.00 for $1million coverage.
